Driving Building Performance - Energy Benchmarking & Re-Commissioning for Logistics/Warehouses
Tuesday, 21 February 2012, 08:30 - 16:00

This new addition to the Dollars To $ense suite of workshops focuses on building re-commissioning. A benchmarking component will also be presented. These two strategies, re-commissioning and benchmarking, are recognized widely for delivering energy savings, healthy facilities and improved building performance.

By focusing on the needs of the warehouse / logistics sector, this workshop teaches the skills that are needed to launch, manage and maximize a re-commissioning program, including identifying typical areas for savings, developing the business case for action and maximizing returns through better building management.

Hosted at a distribution facility in Mississauga, the workshop includes a tour that highlights typical opportunities for attendees – giving them real world examples of ways to save money that they can take back and use at their facilities.

And, by highlighting the best performers in the sector, this workshop highlights typical measures that can be undertaken in the warehouse / logistics sector, while providing all attendees a benchmarking report that shows how they anonymously compare to their sector peers.

Participant Outcomes
By participating in this full-day session, participants will receive the following:

  • A benchmarking report of their energy use against similar buildings to establish performance standards and conservation potential of their operations.
  • An overview of the incentives available for the company’s conservation opportunities.
  • A hands on training session that will enable them to learn how to develop and implement a building re-commissioning program.

Required Information
The following information is required for the workshop. Partners in Project Green staff can assist in collecting once you have registered.

  • 1 year of electricity (interval meter data) and natural gas usage
  • Basic building information (year, sq. ft., etc.)

If your company has more than one building, we will request data for each building located in the GTA so that we can create a report that reflects your portfolio of buildings.
