The Resource Reutilization Team is working to develop opportunities to help businesses turn their waste into new revenue opportunities.

The team has developed the following tool to help companies improve their waste management practices:

• Waste Procurement Request-For-Proposal Template - a template request for proposal that can be used to hire a waste management partner focused on zero-waste.

The team has completed the following reports on waste management opportunities in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone:

• Feasibility Study for the Bio-Gas Development - a feasibility study to examine and analyze the economical and environmental potential for the development of one or more biogas facilities in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.
• Assessing the Environmental Impact of Anaerobic Digestion in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone - this study looks at the environmental impact of anaerobic digestion for organic waste in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone. 
• Feasibility of Establishing a Materials Exchange in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone - this report summarizes research into the development of a regional materials exchange for the Greater Toronto Area and the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.

The team is currently developing a resource exchange market in the Pearson Eco-Business Zone and an online waste management benchmarking tool.
