The Policy Harmonization Team brings together the four municipal partners of Peel, Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton to identify and implement best practices for encouraging eco-business development and expansion within each of their land-use policy frameworks.

The goal of this initiative will be to ensure that there is consistency among the four municipalities when it comes to encouraging eco-economic development and that the best land-use policies globally for attracting and retaining eco-economic investments are established within the Pearson Eco-Business Zone.

The team currently includes:

• City of Mississauga
• City of Toronto
• City of Brampton
• Region of Peel
• Orlando Corporation
• Toronto and Region Conservation Authority

In 2010, the team has been working to develop a framework for identifying and implementing land-use policies that promote green business activity.
